Raphael’s all clean and the masking with blue tape is finished. Only the gray and silver are exposed for repainting. The Rust-oleum Hammered paint in the colors I used 2 years ago is still available. I like the Hammered paint it’s very easy to apply without masking. After completing several coats of the gray, the previous “test” red stripe on the left-hand side has been completely covered.
Due to the closeness of the raptors arms I have placed bags over them. However, the rest of the silver I will paint with using just a piece of cardboard to reduce possible overspray.
Now that the silver is complete, I have removed all the masking from the black accents and the mouth. After allowing a couple of days for the gray and silver to cure, I will start masking for the new stripes.
See Raphael’s continuing progress in next week’s post.
