Now it’s time to freshen up Raphael’s mouth. Again, the layering of the cloth on the body saves blue tape and plastic. Especially since this is just to catch overspray mist. I paint each tooth individually with an artist brush, so there is no need to mask them off. They will get an extra base coat from the Candy Pink.
I use a variety of different sizes of brushes to provide me the level of detail I need. I tried some Metallic Pearl Mist to go over the Matte French Crème I used last week. I prefer the way the Pearl Mist blends with the Grey and Red. Experimentation leads to great discoveries! As I previously mentioned, it’s been 2 years since the first painting. The Rust-oleum has held up very well, making touch-ups easy.
I applied several coats of gloss clear coat and allowed overnight curing, before replacing the plastic eyes. Squeezing plenty of clear silicone adhesive to each eye ring will hold the plastic eyes in place. If you use too much. Carefully wipe off the excess glue. If you are wearing blue nitrite gloves you can safely use your finger. Raphael’s ready to return to greeting guests as the enter the Park.
Experimentation Can Lead to Great Discoveries! Best Wishes to You with Yours!
Have a Wonderful Week.
