Xavier gets clear coating and Brison has the remainder of the Hammered Verde Green accents painted over. Brison will require a couple of coats to completely cover the prior accents. Xavier starts on his side to make it easier to cover all the underside areas. After a few hours curing, he returns upright to finish the clear coating.
After drilling two more holes, the 3/8 inch by 3 inch bolts were installed. Then the ¼ inch rope knotted thru one 8mm bungee hook. Stretch across to determine needed length to connect to the next bolt. I add a little extra to make it easier to knot. Cut push thru the second hook knot, adjust knot as needed. I burn the end after cutting off extra to prevent unravelling. Clever Girl loves her perch at the border of Tyrannosaurus Terrace and Raptor Range.
“Dino Fest at Home”
with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
This year the Natural History Museum Los Angeles County had “Dino Fest” at Home from September 22nd thru the 25th. The Zoom Meetings covered the invertebrates & vertebrates that survived the KT extinction. Millipedes, Roaches, Scorpions, Snakes and small Mammals. Digging Deeper sessions provided opportunities to ask questions to a variety of paleontologists. The paleontologists provided insights into their work, the Museum’s and their numerous projects completed, in progress and future. Dinosaur Puppet shows, Story Time and special Dino Fest coloring pages made this a virtual “Dino Fest” all ages could enjoy!
