How do you determine the Largest Dinosaur – Length, Height, Weight? Or do you separate them by type – Herbivore, Omnivore or Carnivore?
I recently enjoyed Jurassic World: Dominion. Many new Dinosaurs were brought to life on screen. Some reflecting Our most recent knowledge and a few still with the Hollywood Extras not part of the Animals that lived over 65 million years ago. The Dilophosaurus in particular with the neck frills and spiting paralyzing venom. Dilophosaurus means “double crested lizard”. No Neck Frills and No evidence in the study of the fossils supporting the ability to spit venom of any type.
Giganotosaurus was portrayed as the largest Apex Predator that ever lived. Giganotosaurus (Giant Southern Lizard) 39-43 feet long 7.9 feet at hip 9,300 – 30,000 lbs. vs. T-Rex (Tyrant Lizard) 40-43 feet long 13-14 at hip 6-7 tons. Although some believed Giganotosaurus was bigger than T-Rex others believed they were about the same size that Giganotosaurus size estimates were exaggerated. It lived in what is now Argentina and 30 million years before T-Rex (68 to 66 million years ago in North America) and was the Apex Predator of its time. Spinosaurus (spine lizard) 33-49 feet long 8-10 feet at the hip 6-9 tons Early – Middle Cretaceous 145.5 -99.6 million years ago in North Africa is believed to be the Largest Carnivore that ever lived. Essien, Our Spinosaurus reflects the latest information regarding its appearance, that it walked on all fours, in addition to it spending a great deal of time in the water.
In the Family of Herbivores the Largest Dinosaurs or Animals for that matter to have ever walked on land were the Sauropods! Like Dreadnoughtus (fears nothing) 85 feet long 2 stories tall 48-54 tons. And the Largest Known to date of the Sauropods lived in now Argentina too. Patagotitan 121 feet long 59 feet high 76 tons! Sauropods looked very different than other Dinosaur or any Animal living today. Apatosaurus (deceptive lizard) 62 – 82 feet long 25 – 28 tons from the late Jurassic Period 161.2 – 145.5 million years ago. Our Apatosaurus poses below.

Therizinosaurus (scythe lizard) 30-33 feet long 13-16 feet tall weight estimated over 5 tons made an appearance in Jurassic World: Dominion. The largest omnivore in this family of ornithomimosaurian (ostrich dinosaur) is Deinocheirus (horrible hand) 36 feet long arms 7.9 feet long 11- 12 feet at hip 6.5 tons its 1965 discovery in the Gobi Desert Mongolia.

I used watercolors to make Dinosaur Designs on my N95 Masks (New Ones above). I couldn’t get a yes or no from 3M regarding any impact this might have to the effectiveness of the mask. Many Museums sell Dinosaur Themed Masks Check them Out!
