I used the Brown flat as a first step to correct for feather look of marigold gloss accents. Then using the Marigold gloss to fill in the remaining gaps for a more blended appearance. The platform truck is great for performing the detailed work. You can throw a drop cloth over the truck to protect it from paint dripping etc. It makes it much easier to reach the underside and provides a good perspective for examining your work prior to clear coating. I purchased mine form Uline. The large wheels make it easy for me to move all my dinosaurs around the park.
After checking over all the touch ups, itβs time for the clear coating. I placed the Triceratops on his side to clear coat the underside first. This gives you the opportunity to provide a clear coat inside the legs, as well. After allowing 2 hours or more to dry, Marc was returned to an upright position to finish the clear coating. Another 2 hours and Marc was returned to the garage for overnight protection.
The next morning I checked over the clear coating and replace the eyes. Use enough silicone to make a good bond. Wipe off the excess and allow to cure. I use blue nitrile gloves to protect my hands from the silicone glue. It can cause skin irritation so be careful.
And with Marc placed with his family have a Great Week!
